Pintrest - how did we ever come up with anything to do before Pintrest? I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Probably have too much fun pinning on it, on my phone, constantly. But I actually have done a few things from it and thought I would start posting them here and there.... Over at this blog I found THESE LOVELY color pages that I have enjoyed.
Me and #4 just colored one the other day and #1 let me print some off for her to take to a babysitting job tonight with a new pack of crayons. Who can resist a new pack of crayons? Not me!

Young Women's Broadcast

Last Saturday Night I went to the YW Broadcast with my eldest daughter for the second time. She has been in YW (Young Women's) for a little over a year now and I can hardly believe how lovely and grown up my teen is becoming. Me and #1 went to find a needed skirt before hand and had a fun "Mommy Daughter Date" and then went to the broadcast after. I was touched by the speakers and the spirit there. I was touched by the notes #1 took and by her goodness. She is so willing to be and do good. It was a wonderful moment with my girl and made me realize a few things. First, I don't take enough time to be one on one with my girls. Second, I don't make enough time for my faith and so my soul is a little dehydrated. I have been in survival mode most of last year and am slowly coming out of it. It was so wonderful to have time with my girl to bond and to be uplifted. I was specifically touched by our prophet's words, President Thomas S. Monson. If any of you have teens, go be uplifted by this wonderful man. I am so excited to sit and listen to General Conference coming up this weekend. "Church in your jammie's," as hubby calls it!

Happy Sabbath, (saintly thoughts)

This is what I found last night, looking for my blog! Ha ha. And from Denver too, Mel. Denver has EVERYTHING! (I know, you saw that on your trip to Hawaii!) Why the name "Park Burgers?" Well, I'll tell ya. We are the Park Family and we live in the Burg (Rexburg). It has taken me a long time to let go of my beloved Colorado and Idaho Falls a few years ago. It took me years to start loving quirky old Idaho Falls but I was downright sad to leave my town, routine, wonderful charter school, and dear dear friends. But as we have made our home here the last few years, I can see, I have all I need for a happy life, here or anywhere for that matter. I have a loving husband, who works hard to provide, protect, and preside over our family. (See The Family Proclamation) I have my career, my five girls, that go everywhere I go. I work from home and can travel with my job whenever I want. Long hours but it is what I chose and what I love. And I have my faith. That also goes everywhere I go. It is the same all over the world. In Denver, in Idaho Falls and even here in the Burg. These are my big three that are all number one in my life and I can be happy wherever I am as long as I have them. I am thankful to finally be at this point in my life. Settled in and happy to be where I am. Happy Sabbath!

Here we Go

I would like to start a simple blog that takes over for all the piles of paper, stacks of paper and pix stuck on my phone. I would like to keep this one open, easier to link and share, and maybe even remember to post a project or two....Wish me luck!
